“I asked Moreen what she does as first steps when she is contacted about a child that has been found alone. She must first determine what kind of situation the child is in and the possibilities could be endless.

One possible situation is that the child has been found alone.”

The Hope center has two beautiful little girls there both Ritah and Mimi. Ritah is both disabled and special at the same time, but you will never see this little girl without a smile, she’s always smiling, happy and this is what’s makes a difference she always smiles to everyone. Mimi is disabled, can’t walk well and much more with her bones that she can’t grow to a size of her age.

The day is getting very close for when our group will board a plane and embark on a roughly thirty hour journey to return to Uganda in January of 2020. Those of the group that have been to Uganda before- Matt, Barbie, Steve, and myself. And those of the group that will visit for the first time- Cecil, Jane, Cheyenne, Lois, Kelly, and Maya.

On September 19th of 2019 The Hope Center Uganda was given appreciation for helping orphaned and vulnerable children in the Mityana area.

….”Earlier this spring a shocking story was told to us by our social worker, Moreen. In the city of Mityana a woman had been going to the restroom that had a messy trash pit area behind it…”

…I was thinking to myself, “This is it. This is all these kids have! Without the Hope Center, they have absolutely nothing.” At that moment, I was about in tears because in my heart I knew what the staff and our team do for these children is so important.

Reading the red letters, “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. And love your neighbor as yourself” spoken by God in the flesh, who has given a hope and purpose to oneself makes organizations like The Hope Center irresistible…
