Medical Exams.

Every child that is brought to the Hope Center is taken for a full medical assessment.  Here they are given vaccinations, tested for HIV, malaria, and other local diseases.  Any injuries they have sustained are cared for immediately and a health plan is developed for them moving forward.  All of our caretakers are trained in basic medical care for needs that can be met at the center, and a local doctor’s office and hospital is used when necessary.  We also have a nurse come to the center annually to assess the children’s development and make sure they are growing and progressing properly.

Nourishment.

Many children that arrive at the center are malnourished due to neglect or poverty.  Our full-time chef has developed great, balanced meals that are made fresh daily for the children.  He has been trained on child nutrition and makes sure the children are getting fruits, vegetables, protein, and many other nutrient rich foods to help the children grow up strong and stay healthy!
